SPEAKERS

Luke Jurevicius
Adelaide, South Australia
John Pople
California, U.S.A
I reside in the hills of Adelaide with my wife, Julia, and my three daughters, Charli, Frankie, and Olive. My family and I are members of the Mt Barker Ecclesia.
I am a director and creator of children's animation and the founder of Vishus Productions, an animation studio based in South Australia and Pune, India. I am best known for creating and directing the television series The Adventures of Figaro Pho. I also provide the voice of Reggie for ABC Reading Eggs, Australia's largest online reading program.
I am the co-host of In His Footsteps, a TV series initiated by CSSA (Christadelphian Sunday School Association).
My other interests include music, fly fishing, BBQ, and people in general.
I am a physicist working at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource in California, and a Christian who has demonstrated (at least to myself) that the Bible is a source of wisdom beyond human authorship. I’ve always been fascinated by the unknown, especially in physics, theology and philosophy, and greatly enjoy the rich sense of wonder I experience when at work and at play in those worlds. How does light interact with matter at its most basic level? What are the limitations for a human mind studying itself? How can the ancient story of God’s treatment of Job be embraced? These sorts of questions. As a consequence, in the arena of the Bible exposition, I’m most strongly drawn towards age-old, unsolved mysteries and longstanding perceived injustices. What is the Song of Songs actually saying? Why does the Bible approve of the warrior Jephthah if he really did sacrifice his daughter? Why is John’s gospel so strikingly different from the other three? Some of the discoveries I found most enjoyable can be found in published form here.
our vision

The 2027 Sydney Christadelphian Youth Conference will give young people the opportunity to grow their faith and connect with other believers.
We want to encourage young people to renew their relationship with God and His Son, Jesus. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, seeking to align your life more closely with Christ, or reigniting a commitment you’ve already made, this conference is designed to meet you where you are. Our vision is to have God’s word at the centre of everything we do in this conference, and to help our attendees to find practical ways to live out God’s word and His principles in our lives.
Our theme, "Renew," will be explored through three sub-themes: Revealed, Redeemed, and Restored. These themes reflect the different stages of our attendees spiritual journey.
Revealed
Those looking for deeper understanding.
If you're looking for new insights or a fresh perspective on the Bible, this could be an opportunity for those things to be revealed.
The realisation: that we need salvation
Redeemed
Those looking to be inspired.
You may be seeking answers to Jesus as our Salvation. Prophecies throughout the Bible become a springboard to discover that our redeemer lives.
The realisation: that we have a saviour
Restored
Those looking to be re-energised.
You could be needing a boost in your faith journey and restored hope in God's Kingdom to come.
The realisation: that we are saved
